Activities at The Woodlands
Something for everyone.
Join the Club
If you like group activities, we have plenty to choose from. Join the book club, drop into the conversation circle with resident chosen topics of discussion, or indulge your passion for music by joining the chorus. The Woodlands Athletic Club is resident run with informally organized teams that compete in games like bocce and croquet in the summer. In the winter they move indoors to compete with other teams across the nation in vigorous Wii (electronic) bowling tournaments.
Hobbies and Interests
If you have a hobby or passion, we encourage you to explore your creative side. Do you like to sculpt paint, or build? We facilitate all these hobbies and interests with a dedicated art room, hobby room and woodworking shop. Materials are provided, all you need is your creativity.
Games
A competitive spirit and a sense of humor is all you need to participate in the many games we offer residents every week. Wii bowling, ping pong, pool, Mexican train dominoes, card games, whatever suits your style. Bridge is very popular here and we often have several tables going at once.
There are a lot of activities you can join, but there’s no enforced socialization. I do think the community aspect is nice. You’re surrounded by supportive friends all the time.”
- Rob H.
Social, Cultural & Educational Activities
We offer residents many opportunities to learn new things, meet new friends and enjoy a variety of social activities. Experience live music from guest pianists, singers, and performers. Come to pub night or go on fun outings to local art galleries and events. No matter what you like to do you will always find someone who shares your interests to do it with.

The activities and events calendar is always full of opportunities to get social and have fun. Have a look at our current calendar.
